Zimek’s Micro-Mist™ Generators are designed to automatically decontaminate rooms, vehicles, and other enclosed environments by utilizing a revolutionary touch-less micro-droplet dispersion application called Micro-Mist™.
The Micro-Mist™ droplets dispersed by Zimek's Micro-Mist™ Generators consist of EPA-registered disinfectant solutions which are capable of killing a broad range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi (see Zimek-Approved Disinfectants).
Most of the Micro-Mist™ droplets are smaller than one micron in size, which allows them to impregnate microscopic trenches on surfaces invisible to the naked eye.
Micro-Mist™ has the power to access hotbeds of microbes that would, ordinarily, be unreachable due to the limiting effects of surface tension (i.e., the inability of liquids to enter microscopic caves and valleys which exist on all surfaces). Moreover, Zimek’s Micro-Mist™ can transmigrate within any enclosure and reach virtually every surface exposed to free-airflow, thereby decontaminating hard-to-reach surfaces that even the most dutiful cleaning and maintenance custodians cannot access.
ROC, Zimek’s first generation Micro-Mist™ Generator, was introduced in 2008. It was engineered to create and disperse a flurry of micro-droplets called Micro-Mist™. It features an intuitive black and white touch screen user interface, which is as easy to use as a bank ATM machine.
ROC also includes a liquid spray applicator that permits the system operator to pre-clean visible organic bioburdens prior to initiating a Micro-Mist™ treatment. ROC Micro-Mist™ Generators are being used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, public health agencies, healthcare facilities, fire departments, ambulance companies, correctional facilities, and several other public sector markets for the quick and effective decontamination of enclosed environments and vehicles.
MAX, introduced in 2009, is specifically designed for use in healthcare facilities and EMS applications. MAX includes all of the user-friendly features and cutting-edge decontamination technologies that are standard in the ROC, with the addition of several new enhancements.
First among these is the Steri-Mist® Applicator, a micro-droplet dispersal gun, which enables the system operator to manually decontaminate individual objects (e.g., steering wheels, needle drawers, call boxes, ambulance seats, bed/gurney rails, wheelchairs) that are invariably contaminated by high concentrations of dangerous and infectious bioburdens. MAX also has a multi-language color touch screen user interface which can switch from one language to another with the touch of a button.
